dual operator seats and controls. It features a split front drum, pressurized
sprinkler system with interval switch, coated water tank, hydrostatic
power steering, two braking systems, and high maneuverability.
It's equipped with two steel drums in rear, and one in front. The rear
drums are 24 in. wide and 61 in. in diameter, and the front drum is 43
in. wide with a 49 in. diameter. The front drum is of a split drum design
to help prevent scuffing, and to ensure a high quality surface finish.
Drum shells are 1 in. thick.
With a working width of 79 in., the HW 90B has an outside turning radius
of 244 in., and inside turning radius of 155 in.
Powered by a powerful, four-cylinder Deutz-Turbo BF4L 1011 engine, the
HW 90B generates 74 hp at 3,000 rpm (SAE J1349). Its hydrostatic drive
with infinitely variable speed eliminates the need for chains.
Its exclusive adjustable, timed-interval water spray system has a manual
foot override button, allowing the operator maximum water control. Also
exclusive are large clean-out doors for fuel tank, hydraulic tank and
water tank.
The Hamm HW 90B is one of three compactors in the HW series of three-wheel
static rollers, available in three weight sizes, 8.8-11 tons, 11-13.2
