In North America, the Hamm Compaction Division is part of Wirtgen America Inc., the single-source marketer of the world's most technologically advanced lines of asphalt reclaiming and recycling equipment from Wirtgen, asphalt and soil compactors from Hamm Compaction Division, and asphalt pavers from Vögele America Inc.
From the new Wirtgen Group sales and customer service facilities in Nashville, Hamm markets single-drum vibratory soil and base compactors; articulated double-drum vibratory asphalt compactors; tandem combination vibratory asphalt compactors; pneumatic-tired asphalt compactors; and static three-wheel asphalt compactors for North American markets.
Enhanced-design asphalt and soil compactors from Hamm Compaction Division – including the exciting new Oscillation technology for superior, nonaggressive compaction of asphalt pavements – have established new benchmarks for performance, and are winning owner raves from coast to coast. Hamm soil compactors, including the advanced 3000 Series, are so productive they often can eliminate one or more other rollers on a project.
In its home plant in Tirschenreuth, Germany, Hamm recently completed a manufacturing expansion in which three new HD series production lines covering 21,500 sq. ft. were installed, and put in operation in January 2006, bringing Hamm up to seven production lines. In early 2007 the plant was being further expanded with a high-performance, 17,222 sq. ft. product logistics and shipping center.
