While Hamm takes special pride in the international awards its products
continue to win, customers know that Hamm's award-winning designs pay
off for them in the field as well.
For
example, in 2001 Hamm's exciting new 3000 Series soil compactors won the
Prize for Innovation 2001 from a prominent German construction machinery
magazine for its outstanding engineering achievement. Models of the 3000
Series have been winning acclaim from users for their advanced, streamlined
look, ergonomic design, high degree of visibility, engineered aspects,
and high productivity.
And in 1999, Hamm was awarded an international prize for product design for its then-new HD Series of Double-Drum Articulated Rollers for the road construction industry.
The "iF" organization cited Hamm for "high technical and ergonomically designed innovations". The HD model was one of 1,700 products reviewed for the prize that year. Judges compared criteria such as innovation, functionality, ergonomics, safety, lasting quality, finishing, choice of material and environmental impact.
